Description
The Zorya blouse is generously adorned with embroidery and features a hand-craft. The sleeves, which widen at the bottom with beautiful loose threads. The blouse is short and has snap closures. The embroidery elements were taken from the collections of the Honchar Museum, and each ornament has its own unique history. The embroidery ornament originates from Eastern Podillia (modern Vinnytsia region) and combines geometry with plant elements. At the core of the ornament lies a square – a symbol of fertility and the balance of the four seasons. Each side of the square corresponds to one of these seasonal phases, emphasizing the importance of balance between them. This reflects the cyclical nature of life and nature, where each season plays a crucial role in maintaining harmony and stability. Embroidered ornaments with squares often served as protective talismans. The entire embroidery, especially the parts not visible from the front, is considered the strongest protection.
